Your route, day by day.

1. Pick up your 4x4 and begin the journey southwest.
2. Use Lake Mburo as a first overnight stop on the long western route.
3. Arrive in the Bwindi area.
4. Keep a full day for Bwindi; gorilla activities and permits require separate confirmation.
5. Spend time around Lake Bunyonyi and reset the pace.
6. Continue toward Kibale through the western highlands.
7. Arrive in the Kibale area and settle in.
8. Keep a full day for the forest; chimp activities and permits require separate confirmation.
9. Begin the return journey via Fort Portal.
10. Return the vehicle in Kampala.
